Shenky Shugah, born Martin Kapesha on 9 September 1988, is a celebrated Zambian recording artist, songwriter, music producer, and performer known for his energetic style and contribution to the growth of Zambian music. He began his musical journey at the age of 14 when he started singing in a school choir. His time in the choir helped him develop his singing ability, stage confidence, and passion for music. From a young age, Shenky Shugah showed great interest in entertainment and dreamed of becoming one of Zambia’s successful musicians.

 

As he grew older, he continued sharpening his talent and eventually entered the music industry professionally in the late 2000s. Besides singing, Shenky developed a strong passion for music production, learning how to create beats, record vocals, and mix songs.
